Kia Prices the All-New 2027 Seltos From $24,990
The second-generation 2027 Kia Seltos starts at $24,990 for the LX FWD before destination, with a wider body, Telluride-inspired design, and turbo or naturally aspirated engine choices.

What happened
Kia America announced pricing on June 3, 2026 for the all-new second-generation 2027 Kia Seltos compact SUV. The LX FWD trim starts at $24,990 MSRP before a $1,495 destination charge.
The redesigned Seltos gets a longer wheelbase and wider stance. Kia claims best-in-class passenger space among entry crossovers and class-leading maximum cargo room, with an estimated 64.2 cu.-ft. behind the first row and 27.8 cu.-ft. behind the second row.
Powertrain choices include a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated engine and a 1.6-liter turbo. New X-Line trims add rugged styling with unique fascias, piano black fender flares, and blacked-out trim. Torque Vectoring Multi-Mode AWD is available on 1.6T models, and X-Line trims offer up to 8.1 inches of ground clearance.
Standard tech includes a 12.3-inch digital touchscreen, 12.3-inch instrument display, 5-inch climate panel, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a suite of advanced driver assistance features. Available upgrades include Surround View Monitor and Blind-Spot View Monitor.
Trim pricing before destination: LX FWD $24,990; S FWD $26,390; LX AWD $26,690; S AWD $28,090; EX FWD $28,390; X-Line S $28,990; EX AWD $30,090; X-Line SX $32,790. Pricing for the Seltos HEV will be announced closer to its on-sale date later in 2026.
The Eastward Take
The Seltos has quietly become one of those cars young professionals and first-time family buyers cross-shop when a Tucson or Corolla Cross feels too plain and a RAV4 feels too expensive.
Kia leading with sub-$25,000 messaging before destination is a direct shot at budget-conscious households, including many Asian American and Asian Canadian buyers who want SUV practicality without three-row payment stress.
The Telluride design language is not accidental.
Kia knows a lot of shoppers want the look of a bigger family SUV in a size that fits condo garages and tight urban parking.
Best-in-class passenger and cargo claims should be verified on a test drive with real car seats and Costco logic, but the direction is clear: this is a roomier Seltos, not just a facelift.
Hybrid pricing still pending is the number to watch.
In markets like the GTA and Bay Area, a Seltos HEV with reasonable equipment could become the rational default if the premium stays disciplined.
Run affordability math before you assume the X-Line SX is the smart buy.
The base LX may embarrass nothing except your ego in the parking lot.
